Session 013 01.24.26


Recap

We had just finished our evening in the slayer's tavern. We had some food and went back to the hotel to rest.

Sometime during the evening, there was a gentle knock on the door. Sasha/Martok answered and there was a message for Mr. Leszbus. We woke him and he went downstairs. He returned and informed us he has some matters at the family grounds to attend to.

One more day to the meeting. In a bit of curiosity about us, Shamoiah scryed the duke and he had witnessed the Duke leaving the city. We ran across Wolf and his posse, who we went back to Ishka to take care of things.

Boyd is part of the Drunken Monks. He left the dagger INSIDE the bottle and disappeared into the night.

Session

We make our way downstairs after resting, have some breakfast. The receptionist brings our group an envelope with a black, wax seal of A Gravestone with a Sword (House of Earlgrave). He represents Emberhithe. Dwarven council member is the same as when this was established, he is pushing 800 or so. Elven is also the same as when established.

Theo rips it open and it's an invitation to dinner with Councilor Earlgrave at the fancy restaurant. The name is just Restaurant in Elvish.

We decide to go check on the boat captain's daughter and see how she is doing. We knock on the door but there is no answer. The boat is at the dock. Shamoiah pushes open the door and explodes the door. It's dark and cold on the inside, no one is there. We hear someone yell at us from the boat. She is cleaning the boat, Shamoiah attempts to mend the door back together. It takes him a while, but he manages to do it.

Oona heads over to the boat to talk to the girl. Allysa is her name. We introduce ourselves. We talk. She intends to get revenge, but not anytime soon. Theo gives her some coin to take care of her first month of boat docking fees. Alyssa gives Oona a mounted fish, which was her dad's first catch. Alyssa mentions meeting one other raccoon folk, 15 years before, a scientist from the Dwarven area.

They try to find a haberdashery. More so an enchanted tailor. Unable to locate one, but can find upscale clothing. We order fancy clothes.

We create an emblem and give ourselves a name: The Ishka Warriors. The emblem is green vines wrapping around a sword in front of an eclipse.

Everyone gets a tie.
Theo picks a crushed green velvet suit.
Martok gets a leather biker jacket, leather pants w/ green (oxidized) rivets holding the leather pieces together. Once he puts it overtop him, the spikey pauldrons of his shoulders poke through making him look like a badass.
Oona-Lynn gets an emerald green Jessica Rabbit dress WITH a tie.
Sasha gets a leather suit.
Shamoiah gets a dress that looks simliar to Oona's. But in sky blue.

Shamoiah and Theo go looking for Boyd. They don't find him, but notice some other monks: They are passing bottles back and forth, leaned up in alleyways.

Theo takes Crumbs a piece of wild magic candy, as a peace offering. Crumbs eats it. He turns into a chicken. Theo shoves a magic candy in Shamoiah's mouth when tree man starts complaining that Theo shouldn't do that.

Theo is holding onto Shamoiah's head shoving the candy in, under his fingertips it starts to get a little tingley, almost numbing then it burns. For 24 hours any creature who touches him takes 1d4 acid damage.

Theo gets Crumbs and hops out as he turns back into a hamster. Crumbs hangs with Bruno for the timebeing.

We pick up our outfits and head to the restaurant. We show our invite and we are escorted to a private room. In the room is a long table with enough seating for all of us and at the far end is: A man wearing a dark brown and green filagree scholars robe; very professional but comfortable looking. Darker complexion for an elf, more purple in colour. Typically drow are that colour. His hair is shock white. He IS a drow, but not super dark skinned. He looks half-drow. Sitting at his side is a woman, whom is elvish. She is black, purple skin; full drow. Wearing a very royal purple evening dress with an emerald necklace, that are spherical and high shined. She has a circlet of sorts, that is a platinum band with a green emerald in the middle. They are very familiar with each other.

He greets us. We sit. He set up a menu for the night. He got a bit of everything.

He is aware of our doings. He has some questions.

He asks us who hired us, we imply we thought it was him.
He asks if we know Devvic as Devvic stole his son when he was a baby.
He wants to hire us to get his son back.

Sheriff pays Devvic, but Devvic is elusive. The city pays everything. The money coming in from the Dwarven city is less and less. The veins they are mining are running low. The king signs the checks, but he hasn't shown his face in 40-50 years.

Earlgrave seems concerned, his language and body show worry. He is concerned with the wellbeing of Emberhithe.

He sent the guards after us, he apologizes as they were heavier handed than anticipated. He says they are rookies, on one of their first jobs.

Earlgrave's wife was in love with Devvic, but it wasn't to be. Devvic didn't handle her death, during childbirth of their 2nd child, very well. The firstborn was stolen out of his room the day after she died. The sons name was Remy. His late wife was one of the high-elf princesses. Of the Elven kingdom.

Melveris Earlgrave. Sasha asks if he is aware of what is happening in Ishka. He mentions he is aware of the kidnappings in Ishka, but that is all.

It starts to snow outside. It's thick and fluffy. He reaches into his robe and pulls out a coin with his symbol. If we need to contact him, we can use his Sending Stone. We can send him a brief message.

He states these are personal matters, no legalities or contracts. He went to school with Devvic and grew up with him. Earlgrave didn't marry her by choice, but out of obligation. His family owns a lot of the wineries.

Boyd walks in and sits down with us, being called by Earlgrave.

We have dessert. It was an elegant, exquisite meal. He offers us to swing by the meeting, as it's open to public.

He asked us about the Space Man. Sasha asks why he is interested in him. He tells us a story of when they were boys and found a man in the wood, who said he fell from space and didn't know who he was. He was gaining his strength back to jump off the tallest building to jump back into space. They visited him for a few year but once Earlgrave got old enough, he was married off and didn't get to visit, he is hoping he got strong enough to make the jump.

He thinks he can help him get to the sky. With his marriage into the royal family he has become very adapt with arcane magic.

There are scientists in the Dwarven city, of Wulfhamil; rumors of finding large runic stones, that emanate magic that teleport magics emanate. Without a complete set they seem inoperable. He creates an image and we recognize it as one of the items that were stolen and not retrieved. It's a piece of a runic circle. It could potentially get someone to space, if a set is completed.

He thanks of us for our time and we depart. Sasha grabs the sending stone.

We start arguing about how to handle Earlgrave. We decide that Shamoiah needs to fight Boyd to get humbled. Boyd saunters out of Restaurant and agrees to a spar on the beach in an hour. We head down after an hour and there is already a semi-circle fighting ring drawn in the sand/snow with Boyd sitting cross legged in the middle.

They get into a spar. Boyd gives Shamoiah some advice. Hopefully it helps. The Duke paid Boyd to keep eyes on us. The Drunken Monks communicate through their dreams. He is the leader of The Drunken Monks. He has been cursed with immortality, been alive a few thousand years. He is a Downcast. A group that has been repelled out of Celestia. For lack of a better word, they are fallen gods. Forced to live among mortals. He knows One; says he's a bit of a pompous ass, refers to himself as The One Above (everybody). Last he had heard of him, he was under watch. He got into with Pelor, the god of the sun.

The Duke paid Boyd to watch us because we a threat to "every villain". Boyd says he on the side of survival; of himself, the brotherhood made of up 3 individuals. They have bolstered some troops, he has been with us since Ishka; he grew up there. Memories become distant dreams.

The Duke has been kidnapping the elderly, but recently letting them go one by one. Coming back to their lives like nothing has changed or out of the ordinary, but they don't seem right. Something is off. The Duke has two of Boyd's brothers.

Eastaval will be helpful getting assistance from The Temple of the Light and monster hunters. The Merchants Mouth is code to let beggers know that we are friends with Body. It will helps us out if we need the help.

With Theo finding the trickster god is The God of Luck, Spade, he gets the effect of Luck Stone.

He blows glitter on us. He says he has some tricks up his sleeve. If we ever need him, just give them the password: "We're looking for Boyd." He tells us try not to interrupt and then he disappears.

Shamoiah wakes up and hears a rustle in one of his bird houses. Different than other sounds, it sounds feathery. He listens, he hears some skritches and tiptaps. He ritually casts Speak with Animals.

As the glittery bits settles we get a tingle, almost like we were taught a lesson without being spoken to. To maybe give a second, slow down, look at every option and as we wander back Shamoiah hears something talk to him from the birdhouse. It's name is Kan, he's a canary. He is sky blue.

We head back and go to sleep. While we all sleep, we gain a feat. Mystic Conflux.
